Dear readers,

2020 is a year which will leave a profound lasting memory.

The Christmas holidays and the 2020/2021 turn of the year are something special. The closing year has strained us to the utmost. The Corona pandemic has kept and still keeps the world in suspense. We are all aware of the fact that, this year, the festive season will be a very different one. Atmospheric pre-Xmas visits to Christmas markets, cheerful Christmas celebrations with friends and colleagues, much-longed-for gatherings with the family, sporting skiing holidays in the mountains; this year all this will only be possible in a very restricted manner. Maybe we shall even have to do without them completely.

2020 has been an unusual and demanding year. Many direct encounters in the business world have not or only virtually taken place. The relaxation in the bosom of one’s family will play an important role.

We had to learn to cope with undreamt-of restrictions. All of a sudden habits we grew fond of and the human closeness could no longer be taken for granted. Many of us were brought to the limits both from the human and business points of view.

This is why in this particular year we would like to thank you for your loyalty and confidence and wish you and all of us courage, faith and vision for the year 2021.

Experience is not what happens to a man.

It is what a man does with what happens to him.
